The size of a company can be judged by its sales and in the year ended March 2005, Daiso reported sales of over 320 billion yen. This catapulted Daiso to No. 213 in global retail rankings (2005) and No. 30 in domestic rankings. Moreover, in January 2005, the monthly magazine of the U.S. National Retail Federation, Stores, ranked Daiso as the tenth fastest growing company in the global retail industry. |

The market of the 100 yen shop industry in Japan is estimated to be worth between 400 and 500 billion yen and it is growing each year. Daiso’s share of this market is an overwhelming 60%. As the leading company in the industry, we aim to continue expanding to meet the expectations of our customers. |
