Daiso offers a variety of products, ranging from household goods to hobby materials, stationery and school and office supplies, at the amazingly low price of 100 yen (about 1 dollar). This wide selection of goods derives from our desire to absorb and meet customers’ needs.
Nearly all the products sold in our shops were developed by Daiso (our private brand). We strive to develop unique products to meet niche needs in a diverse range of categories. In addition to focusing on quality, we take a strict approach to development of the design, packaging and other elements. Our goal is to develop products which are of true value to the customer.
In Japan, the name Daiso is synonymous with “hyakkin”, the familiar term by which 100 yen shops are known, but recently we have expanded our product development beyond 100 yen items to encompass goods in the 300 yen, 500 yen and 1,000 yen price range. By offering bags and other products that we could not supply at a price of 100 yen, we aim to further enhance the level of customer satisfaction.
As we introduce more than 1,000 new products each month, the total number of product lines sold by Daiso has grown to 90,000. As long as customers continue to require new items, we will continue to do our best to provide them. |
