In response to customers’ need and in an effort to maintain a high level of satisfaction, Daiso replaces 1,000 products each month with new items, constantly upgrading its image. To ensure that as many customers as possible can find a Daiso store near them, we are opening 20 to 30 stores each month across Japan and endeavouring to increase our number of overseas stores.
Big innovations at small prices
Nearly all Daiso products are priced at $2 or less. Nevertheless, we succeed in selling goods at what, by any reckoning, should be an impossible to price to sustain.
Buying behaviour in Japan indicates that when customers need something, they go first to Daiso and if they do not find what they are looking for, then they go to the supermarket or department store. Not only does Daiso provide daily necessities; it offers customers the satisfaction of finding novelty items over and above what they were looking for, at a cost of only 100 yen.
Daiso offers not only basic necessities, but DIY and hobby goods
Daiso’s line-up of unique products adds to the pleasure of shopping. In addition to everyday tableware, kitchen goods and stationery, Daiso offers a variety of products too numerous to list. It has all kinds of hobby-related goods, including tools for DIY fans, knick-knacks and miscellaneous items to brighten up the home, and soil and plants for gardening enthusiasts.
