50th Anniversary Project: Delivering Lectures to Special Needs Schools

Daiso industries Co., Ltd. (Higashi-Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, President: Seiji Yano, hereinafter referred to as "Daiso industries Co., Ltd.")

As part of the community contribution activities in the 50th anniversary project, we held a visiting lecture at a special support school in Hiroshima Prefecture, where our head office is located.

This class was realized with a voice from the Hiroshima Institute of Economic Research, which fosters attachment to the local community such as high school students and at the same time.

It was held for the purpose of raising interest in future employment in the prefecture.

This time, Daiso Daiso industries Co., Ltd. and Daiso Wing, which have been actively hiring people with disabilities for many years, have been nominated as corporate research destinations.

Employees of the Recruiting Division acted as instructors and told them about their efforts to hire people with disabilities, what they want, and what they are aiming for.

〇What is Daiso Wing Co., Ltd.

It is a specified subsidiary of Daiso industries Co., Ltd., Ltd. and currently has 122 staff with disabilities.

We are in charge of a wide range of tasks such as clerical work, cleanliness, picking and labeling at 5 centers nationwide.

The company name comes from the desire to "grow and fly to society through working."

〇About employment of persons with disabilities

Daiso industries Co., Ltd., Ltd. and Daiso Wing Co., Ltd., a special subsidiary, have a total of 544 staff with disabilities. (As of June 2022)

Daiso industries Co., Ltd. supports the independence and growth of staff with disabilities through the employment of people with disabilities, and we recognize that this support will ultimately contribute to society at large.

The first goal is to support the independence of staff with disabilities, but of course I also expect that they will grow as an important force of the company.

In addition, we are also accepting workplace training from special needs schools and employment transition support offices nationwide this year.
