Daiso industries Co., Ltd. (Higashi-Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, President: Seiji Yano, hereinafter “Daiso industries Co., Ltd.”)
Uryuyama Gakuen Educational Corporation and Kyoto University of the Arts (Kitashirakawa Uryuyama, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto; hereinafter referred to as "Kyoto University of the Arts") have launched the third industry-academia collaboration project since 2017. In this project, 15 students collaborate with Daiso industries Co., Ltd. 's product department to work on product conception, development, and design. This year, for the first time, we will introduce a lecture on intellectual property.
On April 21, 2023 (Friday), an orientation was held as part of the classes for second and third year students of the Department of Product Design, Faculty of Arts, Kyoto University of the Arts. From now on, students will submit their ideas according to the theme, and will learn about the new product development process and intellectual property through 13 classes. After internal selection, the final selection presentation will be held on August 5th (Saturday) at Daiso industries Co., Ltd. Sangyo Tokyo Headquarters (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo), and the selected works will be sold at DAISO.
