Airi Ikezaki of the Daiso Women's Ekiden Club received the Hiroshima Prefecture Sports Governor's Award from Hiroshima Prefecture.
This award is given to individuals and organizations that have achieved excellent results in international and national sports competitions, provided cheerful topics for Hiroshima residents, and contributed to the advancement of the prefecture.
Ikezaki was selected as a recipient of the award in recognition of her achievement in placing first in the women's 800m track and field event at the 107th Japan Athletics Championships.
