Daiso industries Co., Ltd. and Kyoto University of the Arts industry-academia collaboration project, sales of 45 products started

Daiso industries Co., Ltd., Ltd. (Higashi-Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, President: Seiji Yano, hereinafter "DAISO") is a school corporation, Uryuyama Gakuen Kyoto University of the Arts (Kyoto City, Sakyo-ku, Kitashirakawa Uryuyama, hereinafter "Kyoto University of the Arts"). A collaborative project was implemented with the aim of developing new DAISO products, and products that were decided to be commercialized will be released sequentially from December 25, 2021, and by December 2022, 45 products will be sold at approximately 3,620 DAISO stores nationwide and DAISO Net. It will be on sale at the store.
In this project, the three themes are "new common sense goods that play an active role in new lifestyles," "products that can be sustained and reduced without your knowledge," and "products that think from the roots of shape." It was devised by a grader, and after repeated studies for commercialization with Daiso industries Co., Ltd., trial production, safety confirmation, and marketing, it was decided to commercialize it.
Two products will be released in December and one product will be released in January.
Daiso industries Co., Ltd. will continue to strengthen the development of environmentally friendly sustainable products through industry-academia collaboration project activities, aiming to create products that customers can pick up with peace of mind.

■ Uryuyama Gakuen Kyoto University of the Arts
It is the largest comprehensive art university in Japan with 23 courses in 13 departments.
Through art, we are cultivating the power necessary for society.
With the educational goal of "artistic nation" where students who have learned art change society, we promote art education with an emphasis on the relationship between "society and art" in the commuting course.
There are more than 100 "social implementation projects" per year in which students solve the problems faced by companies and local governments with the power of art and design.
Through group work and actual work that transcends departments, we are developing artists with sociality.
