On December 10, 2022 (Saturday), we held a wheelchair softball experience event for local residents at the Daiso industries Co., Ltd. headquarters.
This project was carried out as part of the 50th anniversary community contribution project, and in addition to participatory programs such as sports wheelchair test rides and strikeouts, Daiso Wing employee Kiyoshi Konan, a Japanese representative of the Japan Wheelchair Softball Association, participated in the event. A friendly match was held between "Hiroshima Salire," which I belong to, and "Kansai unbalance."
Blessed with good weather on the day of the event, about 120 people attended the event. They also jumped in to participate in the wheelchair softball match, and everyone, including the supporters, showed excitement.
In the future, we will continue to work on community contribution projects with the aim of realizing an inclusive society, hoping that everyone can enjoy sports regardless of disability, age, or gender, and that it will be an opportunity to recognize diversity.
